In case you’ve been living under a technological rock for the last few weeks, I’m sure you’ve heard rumblings about Sony’s foray into the hacker realm. There are 52 released discs which contain a XCP program designed to prevent unauthorized duplication. What they don’t tell you about this program is that it contains a “rootkit” that goes deep into Window’s programming (the root) and is next to impossible to get out.
