Everything but the Why and How

Since I’m trying to take this blog in a new direction, I’ve decided to answer the introductory questions that aren’t transparent in a first reading.

Who Am I?
I’m Sara Mooney.

What do I do?
My full time job is a lighting technician for Cirque du Soleil’s La Nouba. I also work part time as a page at the Citrus Ridge County Library. This blog is not about either of these two places, although it will touch on aspects of entertainment, business, and dealings with the public. All views presented here are solely the responsibility of this author and are not indicative of the opinions and positions of my employers. I am opinionated — sometimes quite strongly — and I appreciate comments come with a name and email address to further discuss/debate any issue. Even better, start your own blog and TrackBack to the entry.

Where am I?
Physically, central Florida is where I call home. I’m originally from east Pennsylvania, and also did a stint in south central Pennsylvania. Currently, I’m trying to change careers and get a master’s degree in library science. The GRE test is done, so all I need to do is apply to programs and find a full-time library job. Money is the major reason why I’m not in school yet. That expected family contribution is the main factor in this arena, especially when they use the previous year’s income to determine it. I’d love to find a job in the northeast again, although California is looking fairly sweet right now as well.

When is this going to happen?
In my book, as soon as possible! Just gathering the ducks and arranging them so that I don’t get myself in over my head.
