Idle Unrest

There is a difference between hearing and listening. Hearing pertains to the actual sound. Listening pertains to the comprehension of the sound. Many people hear but never listen. Much like the country in which I live. I believe a lot of it has to do with technology: we are now programmed to digest only small pockets of information and are incapable of talking with another person for long periods of time. Technology also provides distractions from the real message. All this leads to unrest and the inability to discern which path to take. I don’t want to settle for just anything. I have specific goals in mind and I working towards them. Slowly. But times come where life sits in idle, popping and pinging the engine as it works yet gets nowhere.
