iPod Woes update

Well, apparently the hard drive decided to go kaput. It ceased to exist. Pushing up the daisies. Flew the coop. Kicked the bucket. It whirred. It clicked. It died. But the nice person at the Genius bar (Hi, Josh!) replaced it under warranty (another 6 days and I would’ve had to pay some type of fee), and now I’m uploading all 6065 songs plus 22 podcasts/vidcasts and a few movies to it. It’s been going for an hour and a half and is just about at the 5500 mark. On the other hand, on the way there I saw some cool lightning and electrical things. Some bad storms rolled through Orlando around 5:30 p.m. One bolt of lighting tagged the top of the tallest hotel on Hotel Boulevard. Another one hit a utility pole with a transformer. It was cool! One of the wildest things I’ve ever seen. It sent a huge blue ball down the wires like a Jacob’s ladder. Over and over again. As I drove by on the other side of an eight lane highway, I heard the low “whoom, whoom” of it passing over the wire and could feel all of my hair stand up. I can’t imagine what it was like for the people on the other side of the highway. I wanted a picture, but driving does’t allow the hands to take one, especially in the rain! Bizarre.
