iPod Woes

Hmmm… my iPod is brokedededed. I upgraded my iTunes to 7.3.xx, connected the iPod, and wham! It froze. It got pulled off the charger dock and reset, but now it’s stuck in the continuous cycle of black Apple screen start-up. The disc spins up, the back light comes on, and then it spins down and goes dark again. Bleah! I knew there was a reason I needed to wait to try the new build of software! Off to the Genius Bar at 6:30 p.m. it is… At least I need to make it to Target as well, so I don’t feel so bad about driving all the way up to Millenia.

Dude. I can SO relate. Same thing happened to me when I did the upgrade in February. When the guy at the Genius Bar fixed my iPod, I nearly leapt over the counter and kissed him.

iTunes 7.3 has a bug when it comes to updating libraries. You need to uninstall it and reinstall 7.2. That’s what I had to do.
