Leaving Montreal

Well, I’ve managed to make it through the month. In a few hours, I’ll be leaving Montreal for Orlando. I just hope my ears can manage the flights back. Yesterday I had a whopper of a cold/flu. It wasn’t so bad during the day because they day/night medicine I picked up did wonders. A lot of coughing, a lot of snot, and losing my voice made for an interesting last day at work. I kept my distance from everyone as much as possible. Last night was pretty bad, though. Chills. Hot flashes. Cold sweats. Yeah, I woke up and my t-shirt was soaked. But at least the fever broke, and it doesn’t seem like there’s a sinus infection. Amazingly, my snot isn’t green!

But it’s been an interesting challenge. Learning a new city and language (which I still don’t understand, but I’m getting there). Living without a car and relying on public transportation. A new job and new people. And to think… I get to do this all over again in a week. But at least I’ll know the language. And the cat will be along for the ride!
