Gulf of Mexico earthquake felt in Southeast US | US News |

I think not. It’s interesting to think that people see Florida as a paradise. Forest fires. Hurricanes. Severe thunderstorms 5 months out of the year and the lightning strike capital of the U.S.A. and world. Now, add to that earthquakes. I know that there are natural disasters everywhere, but if you add all this up, it still doesn’t balance out the sunshine, beaches, and theme parks (if you consider them good). I felt the earthquake here, but didn’t think too much about the house shaking since the heavy duty earth moving equipment does that to the house on a regular basis. Earthquakes or thunderstorms? Hurricanes or forest fires? I think I’ll move to a place that only gets half of these!
