In my general search for new and interesting things in the blogopshere and libraries, I came across an article on Many 2 Many about a new UPenn undertaking. The Franklin Library uses a resource called PennTags to help categorize their media. Upon a first look, this appears to make searching for items easier, allowing users to springboard into related subjects. It’s the web meets catalogues. More familiarity = easier to find. Sounds like a good thing to me.
